Apple Slice

  An old church friend gave me this recipe two decades ago. It had since been a family treasured recipe for it simplicity.  I adjusted the original recipe to better suit our liking. Ingredients 2 Apples (sliced/diced) 2 Eggs 1 ½ cups Self Raising flour 1/3 cup brown sugar 125g butter (melted) ½ cup cranberries/sultanas 3 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional) Icing Sugar for dusting (optional)     Methods 1.     Pre heat oven at 180 ° C 2.     Melt butter and sugar together in the oven while pre heating 3.     Mix apples, cranberries/sultanas and self raising flour together 4.     Add in the butter and sugar mixture 5.     Mix well 6.     Add essential oils & chocolate chips (optional) 7.     Bake at 180 ° C for 15-20 mins 8.     Dust with icing sugar (optional)

Pancake with essential oils

When you got a child who is currently doing holiday homework on cooking. You only have 2 options - one allow them to mess up the kitchen and do something too exotics OR help them to elevate it to another level. Itovi oil blend

Itovi Oil blend for our family. Guess which one belong to who? I am been innovative for the lack of labels, so I cut and paste to create one.  Eg. Green Mandarin - cut a Chinese character green and paste on top of red to form green Mandarin. Lemon Eucalyptus - cut a lemon and paste on top of eucalyptus to form lemon eucalyptus. By the way, lemon eucalyptus is not lemon mix with eucalyptus.  Lemon Eucalyptus Lemon eucalyptus is a tree. Oil from the leaves is applied to the skin as a medicine and insect repellent. Lemon eucalyptus oil is used for preventing mosquito and deer tick bites; for treating muscle spasms, toenail fungus (onychomycosis), and osteoarthritis and other joint pain. It is also an ingredient in chest rubs used to relieve congestion. Rock Bun

Rock bun a must have lesson for home econ during my secondary school day. Now is my daughter turn to make it during their Food and Consume education. Essential oils were added to alleviate the taste of the Rock Bun. Ingredients 200gm All purpose flour  100gm Butter (salted) 50gm Caster sugar 30gm Mascavado 1 egg (beaten) 2 tsp baking powder 50gm dried cranberry 50gm chocolate chips doTERRA essential oil 3 drops Wild Orange 3 drops Peppermint 2 drops Clove Method 1. Grease the baking tray and preheat the oven to 190℃. 2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. 3. Cut butter into small cubes 4. Rub the butter into the sifted flour till it resemble breadcrumbs. 5. Add the sugar and beaten egg. Add essential oils, cranberry and chocolate chips into the mixture and mix to form a stiff consistency. 6. Place a spoonful of the mixture into the greased baking tray. 7. Bake for 15 - 20 mins until golden brown 8. Cool on a cooling rack after removing from the oven.

Scones with Essential Oil

  My Maiden scones. Saw Mary Berry made her scones, it look really simple, and decided to give it a try. INGREDIENTS 450g/1lb  self-raising flour 2 level tsp  baking powder 50g/1¾oz  caster sugar 100g/3½oz  butter , softened, cut into pieces 2 free-range  eggs a little  milk 5 drops doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil  handful  sultanas /cranberry (optional) To serve strawberry  jam clotted cream METHOD Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7. Lightly grease two baking trays. Put the flour, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl. Add the butter and rub in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Crack the eggs into a measuring jug, then add enough milk to make the total liquid 300ml/10fl oz. Stir the egg and milk into the flour – you may not need it all – and mix to a soft, sticky dough.
